We saw some dolphins around. Hopefully next time will see the whales

We had a nice boat ride overall. The transportation service was very convenient and as soon as we got there, we lined up to get on board. We saw some dolphins, but sadly no whales :(. Maybe better luck next time!

We saw 2 different dolphins on this trip. Too bad we didnt get to see any whale. It's a short sweet trip.

The bus driver speak English well. He picked up on-time at my desired locatio. The cruise also looks safety. The cruise driver always points at good spot. Dolphins are cute and energetic. I do not know Chinese, but I can know where to look dophins when the cruise driver notices passages.

didnt get to see any whales but we saw abt 30 dolphins flipping around putting a great show for us! It was so magical I wanted to tear. It was highlight of my entire Hualien trip and one of highlights in my life!

Easy experience but communication could be improved. Didn't manage to catch any whales in the sea. It depends on your luck.

The service was excellent, but I stubbornly refused to take motion sickness medication, so I didn't see the dolphins when they appeared.

I've been to Hualien several times, but never taken a whale watching cruise. This time, taking advantage of a German friend's visit to Taiwan, I planned this trip. We joined the 10 am cruise. The weather was great, but the waves were a bit rough. It was manageable during the ride, and soon we saw a large group of dolphins, which the captain called "spinning dolphins." It was the first time in my life I'd seen dolphins up close! Amidst the crashing waves, everyone cheered and exclaimed in amazement. We took many photos, and the captain also searched for other targets spouting water. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales this time, but it was still a very rewarding and wonderful whale watching trip. I hope to see whales next time! Note: If you are prone to seasickness, it's recommended to take seasickness medication before departure. Make sure your phone has a lanyard, otherwise there's a risk of it accidentally falling into the sea. Nobody wants to ruin their good mood with their phone...

The pre-guided tour was great, and I got to know the cute marine friends I'd see later. I also saw a lot of spinner dolphins that day, and I'd definitely go again next time!
