We were told to arrive at 8.20am. After some admin, we waied till 9+am before the speed boat arrived and picked us up for the onward journey. Nevertheless, the trip was filled with beautiful scenery and fun. Saddam and Asman guided us to the coral reefs and was eye opening.

Tour agent will Whatsapp in advance one day for the meeting point picture and map, send us the details/info for snorkeling. Easier for us to find the meeting point & enjoy the day trip. The trip package included lunch box for our lunch.

We had the best diving experience with Yun Sheng Company (Instructor Jon, Dive Master Jeffri, and tour guide Jason)! The team was very attentive which makes us feel very safe and enjoyable throughout the diving experience. We would rate the experience five stars, especially given their deep knowledge of the marine life in the area and the many great photos/ videos they have taken for us underwater! If we were to come back to Semporna for another diving experience, we will definitely go with Yun Sheng (and request for the same A team) together! Would highly recommend!

The travel agency contacted me the day before and told me the meeting place and precautions. There will also be a briefing before departure, requiring everyone to wear life jackets, and some small information will be explained thoughtfully. The tour guides and coaches are all very kind, easy-going and friendly. The Mabul water house is very beautiful and can take many beautiful photos. Remember to bring beautiful clothes to take photos. In addition, I was very lucky that the weather was good, the water was clear, and I saw schools of fish and turtles. Don’t be afraid if you don’t know how to swim. The instructor will be there to ensure your safety and will use a swimming ring to pull you to watch the fish.

The tour guides are very friendly and took care of all of us. They helped to take pictures for us with professional skills. During snorkeling, they will lead us to the best spot and we saw a sea turtle. Great job!

Most of the people (not the agents, but the origin people of Sabah who followed us during island hoping) were very helpful. They tried to provide the best services they could offered. The best place for snorkeling was in mataking and pompom. Mabul and kapalai did not have a nice undersea scenario. For those who are worried about pirates attacking, you may keep your concern as there are many police patrolling regardless of the sea/town area.

The departure time is very likely to be delayed. It is estimated that the departure time at 9:00 is actually about 9:40. The reason given by the travel agency is to wait for the boat. It takes about 40-50 minutes to get to Mabul by boat, and stay in Mubal for about two hours including lunch (don’t expect lunch will be good), and in the afternoon, I went to two snorkeling spots, one is in Mubal, and the other takes 20 minutes by boat Come to Kappa.
