Good experience and very easy to get to the gapyeong rail bike

We made our way to Gapyeong station via ITX from Yongsan. Take a taxi to Gapyeong Rail Bike (about ₩3800). Show the QR code to the counter and they will give you a ticket to go up to ride the rail bike. Since you have booked the timing beforehand, you will have to wait until your timeslot has come and depart together with the rest. The ride itself is automatic, you have to cycle a few times to start the mechanical device and the bike will go off on it’s own. If you pull the hand break, you will have to cycle again to restart the mechanical engine. It was fun, the scenery was beautiful. Sit back and relax and enjoy the moment.

Fuss free collection of the tickets, just go to the counter and show your e-voucher. The full briefing by the staff before the ride was done in Korean only but basic safety instructions (like safety distance and brakes) were still mentioned to us in English when we got on the bike. Pretty fun for a 1st rail bike experience but the scenery isn’t as nice as I expected. I believe it would be nicer during autumn.
