Uchiko-machi Old Street retains the old street area from the 1700s to 1800s. The most worth seeing is the "Yakaichi-Hokoku Area" which is about 600m long and retains the ancient streets.

"Iyo Little Kyoto" Osu Town is located in the southern part of Ehime Prefecture. A beautiful river named "Himi River" lies quietly. It intersects with the basin and gave birth to an elegant castle town - "Osu Domain". During the Toto period, the city gradually prospered with the castle as the residence of the feudal lord, and it became known as "Iyo's Little Kyoto". When I saw this name for the first time, I seemed to be able to imagine the love that people who could not reach Kyoto had for the continent hundreds of years ago.

Matsuyama Castle stands atop Katsuyama (132 meters above sea level) in the center of Matsuyama and was built by Yoshiaki Kato, one of the Seven Spears famous for the Battle of Shizudake. There are many gates, turrets, and walls. It is said to be a flat mountain castle with a conjoined castle tower that has excellent offensive and defensive functions. There are cracks in the rocks, falling rocks, and towering stone walls.

Dogo Onsen is one of Japan's three ancient hot springs. Thanks to Natsume Soseki's novel "The Young Master", it has become a well-known tourist attraction in Ehime Prefecture. The earliest place name here was "にきたつ", which means a port with hot springs. This place was mentioned in the Japanese Waka from the 7th to 8th centuries collected in the Manyoshu Collection, and the surrounding area was also called Hot Spring County.
