The whole trip was filled with Joey’s stories and interesting things about South and North Korea relationships. The DMZ itself is really good and can be truly moving sometimes. Unfortunately we got a fog in the observatory but there are ways to see the North anyway.

Thank you Joey for an excellent DMZ tour! Joey helped us make the most of our time at the DMZ by helping us arrive early (~0815) to secure entrance. She got us a time slot at 1300, so we spent the morning at the Gamaksan suspension bridge. We returned to the Imjingak peace center for lunch before entering the DMZ. Once inside, we went to the 3rd infiltration tunnel, North Korea observatory, and unification village. We got very lucky with clear skies and high visibility, so we were able to see far into North Korea. Joey had great commentary on the history of the Korean conflict and kept us on schedule. A note for anyone else confused as we were when booking: as of March 2024, the Joint Security Area (JSA) has been closed to visitors almost continuously since the pandemic. They opened tours briefly in 2023 but cancelled them indefinitely after a US soldier defected while on a tour.

DMZ is a very special itinerary. For those who want to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation and history of South Korea, it's a must-not-miss experience. I was very fortunate to have Julie as my guide on this tour. She is highly experienced and pays careful attention to every detail, making the entire trip very smooth. She is also very considerate, quickly remembering the names of all the members from various countries on the bus. It's rare to encounter a guide so sincere and enthusiastic. Currently, she is the best guide I have ever met. I look forward to the reopen of DMZ JSA TOUR. At that time, I would like Julie to be my guide again.

Our countries have similar histories, so this trip felt really touching. The most important is that the tour guide "Julie" is very professional, the explanation is very interesting and detailed. P. S. She is very beautiful😊. If you want a special experience, you really need to participate in this.
