First time booked the ferry from Langkawi to Koh Lipe , you have to checked in before 2hours departure, the staff are very friendly and helpful . There’s a waiting area with air conditioning. The check in place located at 1 floor . Recommended 👍

We didn't have to exchange our tickets two hours before the flight. However, you will be given a numbered ticket in the order you exchange your tickets, so if you want to board the ferry early, it's better to exchange your ticket early. Some people were told to change into swimsuits on the return ferry because it will be difficult to enter Malaysia. Even if you register your fingerprints when you leave Malaysia on the way there, you will need to register your MDAC again when you enter Malaysia on the return trip.

Although we arrived at the dock 30 minutes before the boat sailed, the local staff still enthusiastically arranged for us to board the boat smoothly.

I used it from Koh Lipe. It said that tickets had to be exchanged at least 2 hours before, but I had no problem going 1.5 hours before. It seems that it's okay to go from Lipe to Langkawi less than 2 hours before. A travel agency on Koh Lipe was selling ferry tickets for about 100 baht cheaper.
