We went to Nikko and did an afternoon tour in Edo Wonderland. The place is big and interactive, you'll probably need half day up to a whole day to explore the whole theme park. There are food stalls and activities that kids and adults can enjoy.

Even though I went there more than a decade ago, everything was still awesome as they were. Moreover, I went there with my friends by using a discount ticket “Buy one get one” on the KKday application.

Edo Wonderland is such an amazing place to go. We loved every part of it...the houses, the people dressed as in the Edo period, the entertainment part etc.

I won't say this is an essential activity in Nikko, I think Lake Chuzenji and the Temple should rank ahead. However if you decide to attend you'll have lots of fun.
