Kyoto Arashiyama Half-Day Tour: Sagano Romantic Train, Hozugawa River Cruise & Horse Carriage Ride

I was super disappointed to hear that the horse carriage & river cruise were cancelled due to weather :( nevertheless the romantic train ride was surely a memorable one...suitable for all seasons..Will surely come back for the ride again to experience different season views. Tour guide is very patience and helpful. KKday is also very prompt in refunding the money, kudos to them!

The view was very beautiful. I could see many interesting things in nature. The staffs were very nice. The tour instructor was very kind and gave us many useful info.

KKDay rep was there waiting for us as instructed. She brought us through the half day trip and helped us translate throughout. Family really enjoyed the stunning scenery especially the boat ride

Fun half day! The train ride and horse carriage were fun. The highlight was definitely the boat ride! The boats men were great entertainers! Highly recommended.

The tour and train ride was great. It starts off beautifully with the Sagano romantic train. The station was easy to find and the KKDay staff was on time. It wasn’t a long ride but the views were spectacular. If you sit on the left side, you’ll get to see the rivers and Mountain View first. If you sit on the right side, you’ll get the river view about 2/3 of the way through until the end. Next was the horse carriage. It’s slow and dusty, but we put on masks and sunglasses and our allergies didnt kick in. The horse was cute and the driver did her best to speak to us in English. Last up was the river ride. It was a blast! The men who operate the boat are experts at guiding it through the rapids, and they do their best to entertain you for the whole 1.5 hr ride. The views were out of this world. You’re surrounded by lush forest & sounds of birds singing. It was my favorite. Totally worth it
