WOWPASS: Prepaid Card for Cashless Payment in Korea | South Korea

Easy and convenient to pink up and use at the convenience shop

Good to have it around and it it has t money wallet for public transport too.

It is very convenience. Simply deposit my home currency (by cash) and get KRW from the WOWPASS machine. Must have one when travelling to South Korea

The machine is in the hotel I’m staying, it is super convenient to collect it. When the card is lost I can pause the card, and also reissue it at the machine, but Tmoney is not recoverable when lost. Everything can be done in the app itself such as transferring wowpass to Tmoney, recharging by credit card (but cannot use Visa card) without going to machine (machine gives better rate though by cash). Any place with the IC card machine can use it. Kakao Taxi can use too. So far most of the place no cash needed, can use the card, have cash back. It would be better though if there could have machine at more airports, it is not available in gimhae unless reserving in the app with esim bundle through sk tele, so need to either get another tmoney card or buy train tix till get the card at machine when arrival.

Super easy to redeem with clear instructions, many location can accepted this card.

I was confused when I tried to issue the card.But the women (probably work for wow pass companies) supported me in Japanese!!! It is so convenient way to pay in another country since the visible payment history on the app and no need to worry about being scammed. Highly recommend to purchase at least one for your party

this card is so convenient to use for most merchants around korea. I use it as Tmoney as well. exchange at machine is smooth and the exchange rate are good. Will use this again next time in korea as it can last for 5 years. can use wow pass app to see the transactions clear and simple.
