Our tour guide Bob gave us a detailed introduction to the attractions on Phillip Island and the little blue penguins. We had a lot of fun on the half-day trip. Although we went there in the summer, the temperature dropped very quickly when we were waiting for the penguins on the beach that night. The whole activity lasted 30 minutes to an hour and we had to enjoy the sea breeze there, so remember to bring some warm clothes to avoid catching a cold.

This trip will not show you the Penguin Sea of the National Geographic Channel, but the life cycle of penguins in the ecosystem, so you need to abandon the stereotype of the big picture and savor it carefully, and you will find a unique thoughtfulness and warmth. If you meet Bob, the driver and tour guide from Go West Travel Agency, he is great and enthusiastic. In the end, he sent the 12 of us to a place near our accommodation, not the meeting point! So heartwarming!

Penguin parade is a must go, and penguin plus ticket is definitely worth the price because you can see the penguins in a very close distance. The tour guide - Graem(not sure how to spell, lol) is very friendly, humorous, and knowledgeable. We had a great time with him! He is also a great driver!

In the afternoon, we gathered next to the Immigration Museum and drove to Nobbys Center on Phillip Island. It is a place where seabirds build nests and hatch. The seabirds gather on the coastal rocks and hills despite strong winds. The scene is very spectacular. The most anticipated activity takes place after dinner. Penguin Parade is a penguin conservation park. On the hill, there are miniature kangaroos called wallabies foraging for food, and there are also some larger geese wandering around. But what everyone is waiting for with bated breath is that every evening, after the sky darkens, the Little Penguins, which are only about 30 centimeters in size at most, return from the sea in groups and go ashore to look for their nests. The paths between the plank roads are full of waddling penguins. It looks like there is a penguin parade or a family party of penguins gathered together. It is so cute! Crowds of people gathered at the scene, but photography and photography were prohibited after dark. The shadows and sounds of people still shocked the timid penguins. Sometimes a group of penguins stood still as if they were shouted: "One, two, three, wooden man!" Move, it looks so cute! This time we also specially bought tickets for the Penguin Plus viewing area, where we can watch the rare natural and vivid scene of hundreds or even thousands of penguins returning to their nests at close range. We can also accompany the penguins in a parade for a short distance through the fence... , reluctantly left Penguin Parade until ten o'clock in the evening. This live tour is really great!

The whole itinerary was very good. Before setting off to the Immigration Museum, the people from the museum reminded us that we could use the museum's toilet. The tour guide was very enthusiastic throughout the whole journey. The passengers who accompanied us this time were also very punctual and friendly. I strongly recommend buying penguins plus tickets. I heard that they are generally good. The penguins cannot be seen clearly from the seats. But if you buy a general ticket, remember not to stay in the spot for too long. After the penguins land, they will be scattered on both sides of the return trail, and you can see them very clearly.

Thank you Go West and our tour guide, Aaron. It was a remarkable journey. The trip was full of surprises with spectacular views and cute penguins. Aaron was very nice and experienced. During the trip, he introduced us the history of the city with humour and stories, along with the fun facts about the Philips Island and the penguins there.

The whole itinerary is great. It is very convenient for those who come to Melbourne without a self-driving car. The meeting place is very clearly written. The tour guide is very enthusiastic 👍👍 Ask the tour guide if you have any questions. When returning to downtown Melbourne at night, the tour guide will also ask each group of guests where to stay, and drive the guests to the vicinity of the accommodation or directly to the destination, which is really considerate! Well worth a visit!

This was a great experience, the tour didn’t waste time and we literally got to the heart of the penguin experience. Since the tour operated in the afternoon, we had the morning to ourselves to explore other parts of Melbourne before meeting up for the tour at the Immigration Museum. The drive was two hours each way but we breezed through that. Chris N., our tour guide/driver, was knowledgeable and even had a “themed” song playlist that he played throughout specific times of the tour. The penguins and other wildlife we encountered on the tour didn’t disappoint.
